Bill Hilliard

Bill Hilliard has spent 25-years as an operating manager building technology companies, and launching market leading products in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Europe and in the United States. Bill served as a senior executive during the IPOs of MicroTouch Systems, a maker of human interface device technology, and Phoenix Technologies, a systems software and embedded systems supplier. In addition, he founded three venture capital-backed companies, Shared Equity Investment Management (specialty finance company), E-Color (systems software and internet infrastructure) and Ten Point Systems (embedded controller technology). Bill has served on the Board of Directors as a member or observer at Aereon Solutions, Clairvoyante, and E-Color. From 2002-2005, Bill researched portfolio management and financial engineering techniques, and developed real estate and venture capital securities structures.  He was awarded a position as Visiting Scholar in the Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Selections from Bill’s research were published in the Journal of Business Venturing, Venture Capital Journal, Knowledge@Wharton, and Wharton Magazine. Bill has been granted eight US patents, and has 6 more pending. He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematical economics from Pomona College and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
